We invited our friends and ambassadors to celebrate the beginning of the Swedish summer with us at Kentfest in Stockholm on the 15th of June. The day started with a pre-party outside the Maritime Museum in Stockholm. Located at Gärdet, an area of Östermalm’s inner-city district, where the museum offers a panoramic view of Djurgårdsbrunssviken’s bay. The gently curved building, inspired by the neoclassicist design of Olof Tempelman, became the background for our pre-event.

With great atmosphere and relaxed set design our guests mingled, enjoyed our own brewed beer, ate gourmet food served right out of our own food truck and had a great time before heading towards the festival area.

Kent is one of Sweden’s biggest rock/pop bands and has sold over 3 million records. They’ve also won 20 Swedish Grammy Awards. Kent had a vision of creating the perfect festival so they handpicked 10 support acts such as Nina Persson, Junip, Tove Lo, Elliphant, Beatrice Eli and Miriam Bryant among others. Kent performed as the last band on stage and were the main act of the festival.

When the sun started to set, 23, 000 people in the audience were counting down the last 10 seconds together before Kent entered the stage with an intro and the song from their new album ”Mirage”. The concert was magical and went by so fast we didn’t even notice the nightfall.

The final song ”Mannen i den vita hatten” was spectacular with fireworks creating an amazing scenery. Even though it was almost midnight, it was still light outside and we all walked home in the warm summer night. Simply one of those nights when good music and great new friends can become the best of festival experiences.
