One of the most colorful girls you´ll find in Sydney, recently joining our crew as our new
Sales Manager. We are thrilled to have her with us and feel it´s about time for a little introduction.

Meet Claudia.

So having been with us a few weeks. How do you feel?
It’s been fantastic, really. Very welcoming. It’s so nice to feel so passionate about a brand and be around others who feel the same way. Honestly, I’m looking forward to it all!

Tell us (or them) what you´ve been up to before you joined our crew?
I jumped into this industry fresh out of school, that’s where I fell for the people, vibe and subject of fashion. I most recently lived in Byron Bay working for a beautiful label named Tallow within their Sales and Marketing. I moved back to Sydney and couldn’t resist the opportunity to work with Dr Denim, I already had a love affair with all my Dr Denim Jeans.

Favorite style icons? Why?
Chloë Sevigny, she’s effortlessly dashing. And Edie Sedgwick, she’s classic, and I’m a sucker for stripes and dark eyes.

Where do you get your style inspiration from?
I love a good rummage through an op shop, it’s fun creating with clothes that other people have already created with. And then there is no denying influences off the streets and creations by talented designers.

If you could have a dinner party and invite 5 people, dead or alive. Who would they be, why?
Ricky Gervais because he’d be a laugh. Jesus, cause he’d be able to answer a lot of questions. Julian Casablancas so I could sit in awe. My best friend, because she’d help me be less intimidated around all these legends. And Johnny Depp… Because he’s Johnny Depp.

Blue or Black denim?
Tricky. Blue is classic. But black, it would have to be black, black is black!

How important is style for you? Your own, others?
Style is important for me. I like that it can be a first impression, I like that you can change your style to change your mood, and I like that it’s a passion. For others? I’m influenced by everyone but it should be as important as they want it to be in their life.

Tell us a little bit about the upcoming DD AW13 collection.
This Winter is the rewind to the roots of core denim. It’s all about classic blues and black washes. And I’m very happy about this!

Your fav Dr Denim Items? why?
My first pair of Dr Denims, My Arlene Blacks because they’re a staple no girl should deprive herself of. And my Plenty’s, cause they manage to flatter me on a bad day.

Any Denim fears?
Ha, rips in the wrong places!

How should people think while trying to choose between all our denims, in order to find something they´ll love?
Dr Denim craft denim to fit your figure perfectly. I know personally I can’t choose my favourite, all of my Dr Denims serve me in a different way. Choose a waist and wash you like and give them a try, you’ll be sure to find a pair to live in.

Give us a hint of your favorite staples from the upcoming collection. Any favorites?
Here´s a little dash for you.

Now let us know what´s spinning through your headphones right now and over easter weekend?
My phone just crashed so I re-booted it and uploaded all my oldies. Playing a little reminiscent mix and loving it.

Youth Lagoon – 17

Beach Fossils – Twelve Roses

What are your plans for the Easter weekend?
4 days of good wine, great food and perfect company.

Thanks Claudia!
