DO THE DIRTY
It’s true what they say, denim doesn’t need to be washed too regularly. Washing your jeans as rarely as possible maintains their authentic character and saves water. We recommend only washing after good times and they’re visibility dirty. Wash them inside out using cold water and an environmentally clean detergent. This will make them last much longer.
LOW & SLOW
When it does come to washing your denim jeans, make sure to wash in the right way and use the right detergent. Always wash low and slow at a maximum of 30ºC. This helps preserve their colour and avoid fading.
DRYER = NO GO
FEEL THE SUN
Hang your jeans outside in the sun once you’ve washed them as air-drying is best. Peg them from the waistband and let them hang or put them on a flat surface. This will prevent nasty sun marks on the fabric. Never tumble dry, mainly because we know it ain't good for the planet, but also it causes extra wear and tear and can make them fade. You can also hang your jeans while showering and let the steam do the hard work.
FEEL THE BREEZE
It turns out, putting your denim in the freezer is an old wives' tale. It doesn't kill bacteria but sunshine does! For a quick freshen up after wear, place jeans in the sun to kill off any nasties, no more than an hour should do the trick.
SPOTS & STAINS
Use a damp cloth with mild soap or stain remover spray and gently dab over the fabric to remove spots/stains instead of washing them every wear.
